Nottingham gets gold star for public transport

Getting a gold star for green population and eco-friendliness is Nottingham, which has been found to have the dwellers least reliant on their cars.

Closely followed by London and Brighton, Nottingham was found to have the best public transport system in the country which helped ensure its residents were happier to ditch their cars in favour of taking the bus or train.

As well as the obvious environmental benefits, leaving your car at home in favour of catching the bus can help you find cheaper car insurance as many insurers offer cheaper premiums to those who clock up less mileage.
